Compressed Natural Gas
Sometimes called CNG for short, is a fuel derived from compressed natural gas that has been compressed by heat under very high pressure. This fuel is usually mixed with propane gas and used in portable heating applications such as outdoor camping stoves. The compressed natural gas (CNG) is produced by many different types of processes, most often through oil drilling. The best-known example is the hydraulic fracturing process that takes place in the shale layers of the country. Although the technology for extracting this fuel from the shale layer of the country has been around for decades, it was until recently used on a commercial scale.
